Well, the short answer to this question is because God put it on my heart to start one.
But here's the back story...
One night while I was laying in bed listening to worship music I felt the Lord say to me: 'How about starting a blog?'
My first reaction was definitely not to grab a laptop and start writing, my first reaction was: 'There's no way I'm smart enough to set up a website and have enough time to regularly write quality posts. Plus, who would want to read my blog anyway?' I pushed the thought away, thinking maybe it had been another one of my crazy ideas and not God's plan.
However, a couple weeks later while I was in a place of surrender during worship, I again had the feeling that God was telling me to start a blog, but before I could start making excuses, I was reminded by the Lord that I am capable and that He doesn't care about how many people end up reading my blog; even if only one person is touched by my writing then that's good enough.
Other reasons that I got into blogging and writing now?
I want my life to be a clear example of God's grace, consistency and love for us. I want others to find the same peace in the miracle working God that I found 4 years ago and to equip them to have the endurance to run the race set before them (Hebrews 12:1)
Valleys are hard. I know, friend. But God is right beside us in the valley. He goes before us and He promises never to leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:8) So, I want to help you draw nearer to God, not only on the mountain top, but also in the lowest valley and everything in between.
So this is why I decided to start blogging. To echo God's faithfulness in every season, as well as equipping, encouraging and challenging you along the way.
